RMN Foundation and AboitizPower Team Up to Grow a Greener Future in Bulacan
- December 17, 2025
In celebration of National Volunteer Month, the RMN Foundation and AboitizPower spearheaded a tree-planting activity at the Angat Rainforest Watershed, showing their shared commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable community engagement.
The activity, held under the RMN Foundation’s Lingap Kalikasan program, gathered employees, volunteers, and partner organizations from both the public and private sectors. Participants planted about 900 seedlings, including 800 native trees and 100 fruit-bearing species such as guyabano, aimed at helping restore forest cover and enhance biodiversity in the area.
Volunteerism in Action
According to Patrick Aurelio, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of RMN Foundation, the initiative serves as a tangible expression of the organization’s commitment to environmental protection and community involvement. He believes this is a big step toward sustainability and a meaningful opportunity for their employees to contribute directly to environmental preservation.
Employees from DZXL News 558, iFM 93.9, DWWW 774, and RMN Marketing and Media Ventures took part in the event, joined by representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium, with support from the Rotary Club of Kamuning, CaPEx, and AboitizPower.
Corporate Partners Unite for Sustainability
AboitizPower believes its participation highlights the value of its shared responsibility in protecting the environment.
“This collective effort supports the restoration of vital forest cover and reinforces the importance of environmental stewardship, showing how shared action can help build a more sustainable tomorrow,” the company said in a statement.
The RMN Foundation also honored the dedication of volunteers nationwide during the observance of National Volunteer Month.
“Today, we recognize the remarkable individuals whose time, effort, and compassion breathe life into every act of public service,” the Foundation said. “Your dedication, resilience, and willingness to serve inspire us every day. Maraming salamat for choosing to make a difference.”
